Tournament Details​

Participants will be entered into a Round Robin pool with 3 other players randomly at the beginning of the tournament with Tournament Organizers overseeing the matches and calling out each game. Registration is capped at 32 players. Please note: the minimum age of 10 is based on the notion that adults will also be participating in this tournament, which can often be too much pressure for younger children. If you have a child who is younger than ten, who you feel is up to the challenge, please call the shop directly at 902-752-7898.

Round Robin is a tournament format where every player in the tournament plays every single other player. There are no brackets and no eliminations; everyone keeps playing until every match has been played. Each set in Round Robin will be a best of 3 games.

The elimination bracket will be a best of 5 games, and grand finals being a best of 7 games. The seeding of the elimination bracket will depend on the results of the player in the Round Robin Pool and amount of participants overall.

All structures, in-game rules, advanced rules, stage lists, and set procedure has been copied from Smash World Tour 2022, Panda Cup 2022, and Double Down 2022 (see smash.gg tournament rulesets).

Set Structure​

1. Players select their characters, or either player can elect a Double-Blind Character Selection where the referee is told the selection, and players are locked into those characters for first round.  The referee must validate the characters are selected correctly before the game begins.

2. Use starter stage-striking to determine first stage.  Both players commence Rock Paper Scissors Best of 1, and winner selects to strike first or second.  The order of striking is always:
P1-P2-P2-P1. The remaining stage is played. These bans do not persist throughout the set.

3. The additional stages are added to the pool and the winning player of the preceding game bans two stages, the losing player of the preceding game picks a stage for the next game adhering to Stage Clause (no repeat stages in entire set) and bans. The bans do not persist throughout the whole set.

4. Winning player of preceding game must announce their character selection for next game, then the losing player announces their character selection for next game, then the next game is played.

5. Repeat steps 3-4 until the set is completed. Report results to a Referee if one is not present.
